Sanjana Menon 12 year old Sanjana is an multi faceted student, musician and athlete. She has a passion for music and plays piano, drums and is a lead vocalist. In addition to music, Sanjana plays club volleyball and is part of a Bollywood dance troupe. Sanjana is a diligent student and constantly strives to do her best academically. She enjoys being part of the Opus119 family. As Opus119 teachers are very dedicated and connect with the students. They've always been very supportive, encouraging and the classes are always well structured. The teachers are truly experts in the field and passionate about nurturing talent.
Junchi Jacky Chen is a 9th grader and currently attending Portola High School. Junchi started playing piano when he was six-year-old and hasn't stopped since then. Since his move from China 3 years ago, he has been studying at Opus119 the school of music under guidance of Teacher Charlene. He loves playing piano and appreciates her continuous encouragements challenging him to be the very best he can be. He has been working hard and proving that hard work pays off; his most recent accomplishments include passing Certificate of Merit Level 9 and receiving Excellent 5+ ratings, Branch Honors, Convention Honors recognition and 94% Theory. Besides academics and piano, Junchi also enjoys playing basketball, running, playing Chinese chess and video games. He loves eating but always on diet.
David Xue , a Sophomore at Northwood High school. He is part of the Irvine Novaquatics Swimming Team and the School Varsity team. He also plays trumpet in the Wind Symphony Ensemble at Northwood. He has been playing the piano for 11 years and the trumpet for 7 years and is very passionate about both instruments. David recently completed Certificate of Merit level 10 with 5+ all Excellent ratings, Branch Honors, Convention Honors and 95% Theory exempted. Besides academics and the hefty swimming schedule, David is also a member of the OC Young Musician . He recently helped organized and performed a benefit concert for corazōn de vida and raised over $4000 to help for the cause.
