Dr. Bella Tseng

Dr. Bella Tseng is one of the most highly regarded pianists of her generation. She has performed throughout the United States for solo, chamber, and collaborative recitals. As a recipient of various scholarships and competitions prizes, she successfully guides her students through music study at Opus119. Her students has won numerous awards from local to international piano competition including top prizes in the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition as well as Carnegie Hall debuts. Many of her students went on to top universities such as Harvard and Stanford.
Aside from her piano achievements, Dr. Tseng is also an outstanding violinist, receiving dual degrees in performance in both violin and piano from State University of New York-Purchase College. Deciding to focus on the piano as her major instruments, her understanding of string instruments has made her a highly sought after partner for chamber music and recitals by many of the outstanding string players of today.
Prior to joining Opus119 in 2005, Dr. Tseng has served as an assistant lecturer in keyboard studies department at USC. She currently serves as CM Chair and board member of Music Teachers’ Association of California’s Irvine branch. Dr. Tseng is a resident faculty at Opus119.
